ARTIFACTS OF MEMORY
2016
Toronto
Artifacts of Memory consists of five lines of text:
FROM ONE NARRATIVE TO THE NEXT
FOLLOWED BY MOMENTS OF EQUILIBRIUM
IF NOT TOMORROW TOMORROW
SLOWLY SURELY DISAPPEARING
LUCKY ENOUGH TO FLY INTO THE FLAME
These texts deal with fundamental conditions of living in the modern world with a focus on the passage of time. The texts are meant to captivate the observer’s curiosity and reflection as they walk toward and under the artwork.
